Blog on Extracurricular Activities - Faculty of Fashion and Design

Extracurricular Activities are an important part of college life.

The word "extracurricular" can be broken down into its roots for a literal explanation: "extra" means "outside" and "curricular" refers to all of the work you do in the classroom. So extracurricular activities are just activities that you do outside of class. The Common App says that extracurricular activities "include arts, athletics, clubs, employment, personal commitments, and other pursuits."

Extracurricular Activities are an Important Part of College Life

In SGTUniversity Extra Curricular activities are held to explore new activities, try different things, participate in different activities like Dance, Singing, Sports, and Craft and Fashion Shows.

By participating in different Extracurricular Activities students get a platform to show case their talent and creative skills.

In FASHION DESIGNING DEPARTMENT we have enormous number of extracurricular activities for students like we have sports activity for the students where students participate in different INDOOR and OUTDOOR Activity; we give the basic ideas of every game to the students which are beneficial for their physical fitness and mental health.

In fashion department we have craft society where students learn different techniques of art and craft, which are beneficial for their future prospective. They learn to act and think like designers and artists, working intelligently and creatively.

We have fashion society, where we divide the fashion students in groups where they participate in fashion shows and fashion exhibition where they showcase their designs and talent.

We have library session in which students go through the current affairs about the fashion trend and lifestyle products through different fashion magazines and update them about the discoveries done by the designer through the journals.
