Role and Importance of a Sports Physiotherapist
The Sports Physiotherapist is the one who is involved in prevention and management of injuries resulting from sports, restoring optimal function contributes to improvement in sports performance and exercise participation of all ages and levels of ability. Sports Physiotherapists work in a variety of settings such as work with active recreational “athletes” or with a team, club level sport in the clinic setting and may attend training sessions. With advanced knowledge and skills, Sports Physiotherapists also work with more elite athletes, working and traveling with individuals or sports teams, integrating their services with other medical professionals, coaches, strength and conditioning personnel and other support staff.
