Type Theory of Personality by Sheldon - Faculty of Behavioural Sciences





In the 1940s, William Herbert Sheldon associated body types with human temperament types.

He proposed a theory about how certain body types ("somatotypes") are associated with certain personality characteristics. He claimed that there are three such somatotypes ectomorph, mesomorph, and endomorph.
