Jaw Relation in Complete Dentures - Faculty of Dental Sciences


Complete denture fabrication involves five clinical steps. The third clinical step is recording jaw relations. Jaw relations are the 3-dimensional relationship of maxilla and mandible and are an important step during the fabrication of a complete denture. Recording correct jaw relations for an edentulous patient is necessary for the success of complete denture treatment. Jaw relations are divided into three types i.e. orientation, vertical and horizontal, and they are also recorded in the same order. This video will demonstrate the armamentarium required and the steps involved in doing jaw relations for an edentulous patient.
